Winter is coming

With Snow in the mountains and cold and windy on the front range of colorado, now is time to purchase a new or upgrade to four wheel drive. The prices on four wheel drive cars and trucks are as low as they are going to be all winter, once the snow really starts to fly the prices will go through the roof.

The Motorsports Gallery sources cars from all over the United States and would be happy to find the perfect four wheel drive vehicle for you.

Where to put your money?

Over the past couple of weeks I have received several calls on, what car is going to make money? So down and out on the market people have now turned to cars. I don't blame them some of the best advice I could have taken almost a year ago was to pull out of the market and put money into something you enjoy. If you have extra cash around or you are pulling out of the this market why not find a collector car to enjoy. One thing I do know is that owning an good ole' drivable collectible is a lot more fun than a stock certificate that is worth less everyday.

Not to say that the collector market is safe and not subject to ups and downs, but with the right research there are plenty of cars that you could park money in, for at least the next five years, and either break even or make money.

The Motorsports Gallery is here to do just that. With all of the years of experience and having already paid real dollars and cents on mistakes, partner with us so that you don't have to pay to learn where to put your money. The Motorsports Gallery can go from simply being the allocator of the car you want to invest in or doing the full bore research and finding of that special car to enjoy for years to come.

Now there is no doubt that there are two schools of thought on collector cars. Some say that it can be a solid investment, I for one would like to agree with that train of thought. But it is only a good investment if it is bought right. The old saying "you make your money on the buy" is oh so true. The other side of the story is that you can lose, you are exactly right, you can lose and I have. But it only takes once to learn that lesson and that is why The Motorsports Gallery is the perfect partner to find that investment collector. We have already learned that lesson and will do everything in our power to keep that from happening to you.

Doing the right thing

How is it that doing the right thing makes you poor? The Motorsports Gallery was founded on doing the right thing for customers, yet it seems to get you in more trouble. We have had a rash of doing the right thing then having it blow up on us. Maybe it does pay to be shady and just take the money and run. I am not complaining about the situation just trying to figure out how it has come to this. When did consumers become blind to who is doing things correctly and who has the best deal.
We sell previously owned cars and we do our best to investigate all the cars we buy, this is real dollars and cents being spent. But sometimes cars have problems, we can't predict the future. In the current economic situation of the world I am starting to see where some of our problems are coming from. People have become accustom to instant gratification and make poor financial decisions. The Motorsports Gallery has had many potential customers that have walked away from our services of finding the right vehicle at the right price, because someone else had one that was close sitting on the ground. When you are spending bid dollars and cents on luxury items why settle for close.
We have recently realized that a crossroads is coming. Do we stay the course of being conscious of the consumer and want to create a relationship or do we take the money and run.
Just some thoughts on a Friday, hope everyone has a safe weekend.

The Car Business

I want to help people understand what it takes to be in the "car business". It is unlike any other industry in the world. First you have to realize that car dealers are buying an asset that literally is worth less everyday (even more so now with the state of the economy). Second the internet has made information so accessible that all consumers are educated. I write that one cautiously, some consumers are educated and very analytical. Others just saw a price and said that is how much it should be, either way you are dealing with a well heeled buyer. Third, car dealers themselves, I grew up in this business and I will say it, on the bottom of the ocean are lawyers and car dealers. Just as bad as some of them treat the customer they are far worse among themselves.

Now I don't want anyone thinking I am crying about my life, the fact is if done correctly it is one of the most fun and rewarding jobs in the world. I have created The Motorsports Gallery to be in the business correctly and do it right. From the multi-million dollar collector cars to the daily driver for $10,000 I want every deal to been done correctly.

Security

I want to let everyone know that if you are using email accounts such as gmail, yahoo, live, etc...
Please have a very secure password, recently an employee was a victim and had his email hijacked in which someone used it for spam attacks, fraud and plan old mischievous endeavors. A lot of people were affected by this and it has been a nightmare trying to explain to people what happened and that we do not have a bank account in Nigeria and we do not need any dates. By the way these hijackers, spammers or whatever you call them use personal ads in order to gather more and more emails. People who answer and use personal ads are some of the easiest targets to gather personal information. Also telephone numbers were given out in order to look authentic and obviously it worked because a lot of people fell victim to this crime. Through all of this we have learned a lot about security, fraud on eBay alone is a billion dollar business. One of the easiest targets is craigslist. It is community controlled and a ton of fraud goes on there. The safest way to protect your account is to use symbols along with letters and numbers. Some sights do not allow the use of symbols, so a good mix of letters and numbers would be suggested. Another tip on protecting your accounts is to change up passwords ever so often. The next post will be back to the car business, we just wanted to take a chance to let everyone know that an event like this can turn into a huge mess.
If you get a chance please visit http://www.thegallerydenver.com/ to view our entire selection of vehicles.
